- About halfway through the semester, I shall assign you randomly to groups of 4-5, two each for chapters 8, 12, and 13 in Religion Matters.
- Teams will read their chapter together, will identify one or more issues that their chapter raises, and will investigate that issue using outside resources. Teams will work with me to make sure that their topics do not overlap too much. The overall chapter topics are:
- Religion and politics in the United States
- Religion versus science.
- Religion and the environment.
- Each team will then present what they have learned to the class – in effect teaching that class about the issues involved.
- Each team should expect its presentation to take about 20 minutes. Practice ahead of time, so you don’t run over.
